PRODUCT DESIGN
ORBIT – MENSTRUAL CYCLE CLOCK

2026 Ongoing

A clock that does not display time as we are used to, but instead represents the internal time of menstruating people. Its purpose is to visualize the menstrual cycle in order to provide orientation and to emphasize the ritual of listening to one’s own body.

The design maintains an inclusive, neutral character while deliberately distancing itself from traditional, rigid clock designs, which have historically been shaped predominantly by male designers. It highlights the most important structures of the cycle through small icons: the period itself, the phases before and after it, and the ovulation phase, which is connected to the days with the highest chance of becoming pregnant.

The clock not only addresses the stigma surrounding the concealment of how bodies are affected by the monthly cycle in many impactful ways, but also serves as a medium of care, a reminder to listen to one’s own body.

This project is still in development.
